First assignment for my graphic design class at Newhouse.

After visiting the “Talk to Me” exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art, I found myself thinking a lot more about the technological devices with which we interact on a daily basis, and their individual interfaces.

So I found this article, which discusses the history of type faces and fonts, to be really interesting. You might think reading about the development of type would be boring, but since it’s so often tangled up with ideologies (utopianism, modernism, etc.), it’s actually really fascinating, I think.
